Buying online with carbon neutral deliveries

Buying online by adopting an eco-responsible behavior with carbon neutral deliveries is now possible.

From the beginning we have made sustainability one of the priorities for our company because being attentive to our planet has become fundamental.

In our own small way, we have set up our company as a "green" reality. We started with an organic cultivation; we have created an emergency drip irrigation system so as not to disperse the water and the one we use comes only from our rainwater containment lake; where possible we use recycled glass bottles; we use natural cork as an integral part of our labels; for our brochures we use paper made from the waste of the grapes; our capsules are made of bioplastic that derives from renewable and biodegradable raw materials. An important project for 2023 is the installation of a photovoltaic system to meet the need for corporate energy with zero CO2 emissions.

In our perspective, an eco-compatible and sustainable society should be a standard and represents the correct way to operate. A way in which profits are not made at the expense of the environment and living beings.

What does it mean?

In recent years, the explosion of digital shopping has brought us closer to an ever-increasing number of customers throughout Italy and the world, but digital shopping also has an impact on the environment, which is why we have decided to implement sustainable e-commerce. to minimize pollution by introducing carbon neutral deliveries. What does it mean?

Carbon neutral deliveries with zero climate impact occurs, in principle, when no CO2 emissions are emitted along the entire supply chain. For example, this would be the case with bicycle deliveries. With this being somewhat difficult it is clear that a completely CO2-free delivery route is not feasible for online sales. The alternative is therefore to offset the emissions released with each online order by first quantifying them and then choosing between a direct path that consists of replanting trees to reduce CO2 or an indirect path that includes the promotion of climate protection projects.

Our choice

In collaboration with Shopify® Planet we have chosen the indirect path. For every order placed through our site, we pay a small contribution to innovative companies of the Shopify Sustainability Fund such as 44.01, Carbofex, CarbonBuilt, CarbonCure, Charm Industrial, Climeworks, DroneSeed, Grassroots Carbon, Heirloom Carbon, Loam, Noya, Pachama , Planetary, Remora, Running Tide and Sustaera, who work for the extraction and removal of carbon (CO2) based on nature and innovative solutions such as direct capture from the air and mineralization. 

In this way, for each online order, the delivery will be carbon neutral.
